We had a fun-filled Saturday night over the weekend with two events. We helped Thilar and Matt celebrate their wedding at the always beautiful Joondalup Resort! Thilar looked absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations Thilar and Matt!

We also has the pleasure of featuring at a 1920's themed Housewarming party where we fitted right in and had an absolute blast! Thank you for having us there Mary and Ben and thank you to the ever wonderful Events to Envy for organising it.

Adelaide Shores

We headed to Rundle Mall on Friday compliments of Adelaide Shores. Holiday fun was had by many shoppers getting dressed up ready for the beach. They then were able to scrapbook their photos in the special Adelaide Shores Holiday Book sharing their favourite holiday memory and enter the competition to win a holiday at West Beach. We could not believe how creative and talented our boothers were. Weddings in SA

We had two wonderful weddings in South Australia this past weekend. Catherine and John were wed Friday afternoon at AL-RU Farm in Golden Grove and on Saturday night we were at the Morphettville Racecourse with Samantha and Rian for their big day! A lot of stunning photos were taken and it was great to see both newlywed couples take some silly snaps too!

On Saturday night we celebrated Jasons 40th with his nearest and dearest at their private home. Happy Birthday Jason!

Over the weekend in SA we had a beautiful wedding Saturday night, congratulations to Katerina and Christopher, your wedding was simply beautiful! Lastly we had the Glen Ewin Bridal Fair on Sunday which is always lovely as we get to meet so many eager couples planning their big day!!

Vintage Photobooths Victoria saw many familiar faces in the photobooth at Courtney's 21st on the weekend. The party was held at the Echuca Race Club and it was obvious by the pictures that a great time was had by all. Happy 21st Birthday Courtney!

We were also in Cranbourne at the Royal Botanic Gardens to capture the memories for Grace and Naarman on their special day. Great use were made of the props, especially the gorgeous "love" prop which made for a beautiful photo of the newlyweds. Congratulations from VPB Victoria.

Over the weekend we were also invited to the GSR Social Club Function at the Noshery Food & Coffee Bar, a classy night at the Adelaide Convention Centre with the Camp Quality Cherry Ball and last but not least, we spent our Monday night at the Adelaide Oval participating in the ACB Christmas Business Hour. Not only did we have a Photobooth at this event but we had some team members invited along as guests too! Woohoo!

Victoria's Busy Week

Vintage Photobooths Victoria has hit is busiest time ever! With nine events throughout the week (eight being weddings) we saw so many laughs, smiles, funny faces, beautiful brides (and grooms of course!) and great poses.

Our only non-wedding event for the week was Kmarts "Rock" Staff Party at the Docklands. They were lucky enough to have two booths running, one colour and one black and white. There were some excellent outfits getting around which made for some very funny photos.

Our weddings for the week were:

Melissa & Andrew's Wedding at the beautiful Train Trak Winery.

Emily & Reinhard's Wedding which was held at Inglewood Estate Winery.

Caley & Andrew's Wedding was a wonderful night at The Pier in Geelong.

Bec & Schuey's had a lovely celebration for their wedding at their house beside the pool in Kyabram.

Nikki & Troy had their wedding ceremony at the River Spa Apartments by the Murray Rivers bank and their reception held in a stunning marquee.

Sarah and Luke had a lovely evening for their wedding Sails on The Bay.

Rebecca & Christopher partied the night away with their guests at Sketch in the Docklands

And our last happy couple was Rachel & Cam who had their wedding at Sumac also in the Docklands.

The past week we have been involved in some beautiful functions. We started off at the Plaza Ballroom for the MAD Foundation fundraiser and then followed the weekend off with two weddings. Amy and Crispin celebrated their wedding in style at the beautiful Stokehouse in St. Kilda. There was a surprise for the guests at our second wedding over the weekend (and it wasn't just the Vintage Photobooth!). Lauren and Arthur's guest arrived at an engagement party at Goona Warra Vineyard which turned out to be their wedding! Very exciting for all! November kicks off with a bang!

In South Australia our weekend began on Friday night at the South Australian Tourism Awards and a Girls Night In at the Lakes Resort Hotel. On Saturday night we helped celebrate Paula and Stav’s Wedding and Joe’s 40^th Birthday and the last night of our busy weekend landed us at the Rider Levett Bucknall CCS and Sarah and William’s wedding! It was a very full on weekend but we sailed through smoothly and had a ball at each event! Thanks for inviting us along to so many special occasions! Mix102.3 Credit Union Christmas Pageant in Rundle Mall

Vintage Photobooths were thrilled to be involved yet again with Mix102.3’s Credit Union Christmas Pageant Promotion in the Rundle Mall on Monday. And gosh we had fun too! Our staff dressed as clowns created fun and colour attracting hundreds of shoppers into our booth for a free photograph! One of our booths was at the beautiful State Library of South Australia to celebrate the newlywed couple, Erin and Nick! It was a wonderful night and the bride and groom got some lovely photos together in the booth. A lot of frames were used as props which looked incredible in the photos! Congratulations guys!

Friday night we had the pleasure of walking into a magical Arabian Night with all the Year 11 student's from St Hildas! There were beautiful Arabian inspired dresses and even a few belly dancing inspired ones too and of course the lovely gentlemen who came to escort them to their beautiful dance! Our week began with Destination SA’s Welcome Reception on Thursday in the Mortlock Chamber at the State Library of South Australia. It was a jazz themed night with a jazz band playing and mood lighting which made the Photobooth look fabulous. Everyone enjoyed the South Australian Food and Wine and the beautiful surroundings of the library.

On Saturday night Andrea and Briana celebrated their wedding at the Stonyfell Function Centre. It was a beautiful night and if the photos are anything to go by, the Photobooth was an absolute hit! Congratulations to the beautiful couple!

Over at the Adelaide Convention Centre was the Ahrens Family Circus. The theme was ‘Circus’ and the room was decorated wonderfully! The costumes looked absolutely brilliant in the Photobooth and so many people made a great effort to dress up!

The last event for the week was on Sunday when Vintage Photobooths went bowling for Kia’s 25^th Birthday party at the AMF Bowling Centre in Woodville. It was such a fun filled night and everyone had plenty of time in the booth! Happy birthday Kia! From everyone at Vintage Photobooths SA.

What an exciting weekend!! We had the pleasure of being at two fabulously themed functions where everybody really got into the spirit of things!

Friday night was the fanciful, entertaining, and magical Circus themed End Of Financial Year Affair for Cossill and Webley - Consulting Engineers. Everyone looked gorgeous with their painted face designs and big smiles. We had a fantastic time and everyone heading into the booth really took on the challenge to make some beautiful and unique memories with all the circus-y props!

Victoria - Many a Boothing!

As usual, Vintage Photobooths nation wide have been very busy. Recently Victoria has been part of some wonderful (and some wacky!) events.

We were honored to be part of The Make A Wish Masquerade Ball held at Brighton International. It was a beautiful night with lots of very generous people donating to this amazing charity. Thanks to everyone who attended and had their picture taken on the night.

Next it was to Daniel's 21st. Daniel is one of our wonderful VPB attendants and also a delivery boy! It was a fun night for all of Daniel's family and friends and was great to see a few photos of staff in the mix!

Now to the wacky - Lockington Football Club's Western Themed Party! As you can see by the photos everyone went all out and had some brilliant costumes. There was also a great live band and (here comes the wacky...) a mechanical bull! Between the bull, dancing and the Vintage Photobooth all the footballers and friends had a excellent night. We had many little chefs, wine connoisseurs and food lovers stop by the booth to take some wonderful photos. So many of our followers ask for our advice on good venues, photographers, caterers, Celebrants, etc. We love to help out so we've decided to give you all some tips on planning a Wedding! Our article today is from Christine Marie Churchill, a Celebrant, who has five tips to help you choose the perfect Celebrant for your Wedding!

Choosing your Celebrant

More and more Australian couples are choosing to have a civil ceremony and that means choosing a celebrant.

The Attorney-General’s Department keeps a list of everyone authorized to be a Marriage Celebrant on their website (www.ag.gov.au) and this is a great place to check if you want to see how long your celebrant has been in business or check whether they’re actually a celebrant at all! But it’s not a great place to start looking for the person who’s going to marry you!

The Top Five Things to Consider When Choosing a Celebrant

Experience – Not all celebrants are equally trained or experienced. Celebrants have been allowed to conduct civil ceremonies since 1973 so although there’s some extremely experienced celebrants around, most celebrants have only been appointed in the last two or three years. Always make sure to ask to see testimonials and ask how many weddings the celebrant has performed.
Also check their qualifications, do they have a Certificate 4 in Celebrancy?
This is now a requirement for any newly appointed Celebrant.

Content – Not all celebrants do the same thing on the day. Clarify with the celebrant what their inclusive charges are and if they charge extra for tables, chairs, a rehearsal etc. Make sure your celebrant knows your expectations and will meet them. Ask how many weddings they book in a day and the time period they leave between weddings.
You may want to ask if they use a PA system as this can be a concern if they do not as your guests may not be able to hear your ceremony.

Price – Not all celebrants charge the same price. Here in South Australia most charge between $400 and $600 but some will go as low as $99! Think carefully, because cheapest isn’t necessarily the best way to go. This is the heart of your wedding day and a part you will remember for the rest of your lives so you want to make sure that the celebrant you choose is perfect for you, one who will listen to you and will allow you to have choices as to how you want your ceremony to be (Within the legal guidelines).

The Appearance –This is your special day and you’ve probably pictured it in your head for a while now so try and shortlist your celebrants from those that fit that mental image.

The Personality – Your celebrant needs to match you as a couple and to be open and flexible to embrace your ideas. It is important you all get on and feel you can approach your celebrant with your own vision of how you would like your ceremony.
You should be given lots of options on who you want to be apart of it, and what you want to say. Your wedding day is going to be one of the biggest days of your life and the right celebrant can help it all come together beautifully.

Last Sunday we had the pleasure in bringing the Vintage Photobooth to the Westpac Centre at Olympic Park for Collingwood Football Club's Footy Day/McHappy Day. Is was a fun-filled night of food, wine, dancing and of course lots of photos!!!! Everyone looked gorgeous dressed up to celebrate the end of financial year with a Dinner Dance and made excellent use of the many props including the guests favourite... The fake moustaches! On Saturday night Deloitte celebrated the end of the financial year by throwing a big Hollywood Ball in the National Wine Centre. The room was decorated beautifully and looked like the famous Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. The guests were dressed to the nines and didn’t mind popping on some props to jump into the Photobooth! The booth was an obvious hit as more than 550 photos were taken! Thanks for having us at your ball - we had a ball! From the team at Vintage Photobooths SA.

Our week started with superheros from the OMD party living it up in the booth at the Great Britain Hotel in Richmond, followed by Price Waterhouse Cooper's "Madmen" themed mid year ball at the Plaza Ballroom - gorgeous images! Also on Saturday night the VRC Young Member's Ball was held at Crown's Palladium where laughter was coming from two booths all evening - lovely to be involved in this event for the second year. To finish our busy week we had the Melbourne Convention & Visitor's Bureau's Cocktail Party at Myer - thankyou for having us, we loved bringing the Vintage Photobooth to all events and we hope everyone enjoyed their boothing fun.

Alice and Antony held their wedding on Saturday night at the John Di Fede Reception Centre. It was a beautiful night with over 250 guests! The very first week that was for Brisbane!

WOW!! What an amazing week we've had here in Brisbane for our very first week of photobooth fun!! The fun and frivolity began with our official launch party at The Orient hotel where the photobooth was enjoyed by all. Following the launch we had the chance to meet many amazing 'brides-to-be' at the Brisbane Wedding Expo at the RNA. We look forward to working with many of these beautiful brides to make their wedding day both memorable and special.

It was wonderful to be a part of Emily's 18th Birthday Celebrations. Emily looked Gorgeous in her grecian style dress and had a fantastic night. Everybody got into the spirit and there was barely a non toga-wearing person in sight! Happy Birthday Emily!

We were also extremely happy to be a part of Lydia's 30 something Moroccan inspired birthday party. The themed prop box definitely got the the guests into the mood for some serious boothing!! Hope you had a great night Lydia!
